The detailed design includes infrastructure capable of handling international procedures, including the installation of immigration and customs facilities necessary for the reception and clearance of passengers. With these improvements, the state government expects to double the maritime terminal’s capacity to handle deep-draft vessels.

Additionally, the project calls for operational collaboration with global cruise lines such as Carnival Cruise Line, Royal Caribbean, and MSC Cruises, as well as with the port operator Global Ports Holding, thereby expanding the port’s connectivity with international maritime routes.
