The mobility and connectivity of Puerto Vallarta continue to be strengthened with the construction of the Amado Nervo Bridge, a strategic work that will improve the road connection between Jalisco and Nayarit. In this context, the architect Luis Ernesto Munguía González carried out a supervision tour in the Ixtapa delegation to know first-hand the progress of the project and verify the development of the work.
During the tour, Munguía González reviewed the road and the junction section, and highlighted the coordination between the different orders of government to specify an infrastructure of great relevance for the region, with the support of the president of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, and the governor of Jalisco, Pablo Lemus Navarro. "These are works that we appreciate, they are very necessary works," said Munguía González.
The avenue will have six traffic lanes, space for a bike path and a hydraulic concrete bearing surface. Beyond representing a new crossing between both states, the work will become a strategic road to strengthen regional connectivity, by offering an alternative for transfers and facilitating communication between Puerto Vallarta and Banderas Bay.
This new connection will reduce travel times up to almost half an hour, especially benefiting thousands of people who cross daily between both municipalities to work, study, carry out commercial activities or access different services.
The work shows an important advance and it is expected that the infrastructure can be inaugurated by the end of this year. For Munguía González, the project represents a decisive step for the development of the metropolitan area: "This will change the history of mobility in Puerto Vallarta," he said.
